Merchants Provide Affiliates with Dynamic Ads & Product Catalogs

LinkProfits, a firm providing outsource affiliate program management and consulting services since 1999, today announced three new service offerings:

Partner Catalog Templates, Partner Product Displays, and Syndicated Deals Generator.

Merchants with affiliate programs that use product datafeeds can now offer their publishers two new ways to promote individual products. "Even affiliates with no programming knowledge can get all the benefits of using a dynamic product datafeed," explains Jim Gribble, LinkProfits’ Managing Director.

"In less than an hour, any affiliate with even a basic knowledge of web publishing can easily create a database-driven, virtual product catalog on their site,” Gribble added.  “We’ve long recognized that individual product links are the best way for publishers to attract visitors to their sites and to qualify referred traffic to their featured merchants. We just took this concept to the next level.”

Partner Catalog Templates (PCTs) allow publishers to easily post a merchants' entire product catalog on their sites. Besides having the ability to easily customize and co-brand the templates, affiliates benefit from automatic updates, once it’s published. Since each PCT is driven by the merchants’ product datafeed, any changes or updates the merchant makes are automatically reflected in all the affiliate sites. The merchant may also provide constantly changing content that displays on the main page of the product catalog template. Items like featured products, specials and coupon codes can be updated as often as the merchant wishes.

Partner Product Displays (PPDs) allow affiliates to publish individual product display pages on their sites. Affiliates can create pages of product offerings based on a multitude of selection and display options they control. In just a few seconds, an affiliate can generate the code they need to create a page of a specific type of product, a particular brand of products, or a selection of products related to specific keywords.

PPDs are also dynamically updated, so any changes (new or out-of-stock products, price changes, coupon code changes, etc.) are automatically made on each affiliate’s site that uses this great tool. Affiliates can choose to receive their dynamic code in EITHER: Simple Javascript format, Javascript optimized for PHP, or Javascript code optimized for ASP.net.

Both PCTs and PPDs work with virtually any affiliate program tracking solution or network, such as Commission Junction, Sharasale,  DirectTrack, MyAffiliateProgram, etc.

In order to qualify for the above services, LinkProfits requires merchants to provide a clean, useable product datafeed. Once the datafeed is accepted, LinkProfits will:

Ø    upload the datafeed to their server and make it available to the merchant's affiliates

Ø    create the PCT and/or the PPD user interface and make it available to the merchant's affiliates.

Ø    create a password protected interface for the merchant client to update any supplemental dynamic content, such as coupon codes, product news, etc.  This access is 24/7 and there is no limit to the number of updates a merchant can make in this area.

Ø    update/replace the product datafeed no more often than once per month (unless special terms are agreed to).  

Pricing for each of these services includes a $495 setup fee, plus monthly updates and hosting from $75 to $225, depending on bandwidth usage. Discounts apply when merchants implement both tools.

LinkProfits has also announced the launch of Syndicated Deals Generator. This promotion tool gives merchants the ability to 'syndicate' several kinds of 'deals' to their affiliates. After affiliates install a simple line of code on their sites, they will automatically publish any or all of the merchant's specials, such as coupon codes, discounted or  products, and more!
